Breakfast cook
We are a small hotel and we rely on good teamwork and long term commitment.
General shifts are from 730am to 12pm, including weekends, on a full-time basis. 20-30hrs
Set up of restaurant buffet and prepare cooked items. Cook English breakfast to order to good standard. Clean down kitchen and wash-up. Restock and reorder. Daily safety logs.
Working in a small kitchen as part of a small team, reliability is essential. You must be organised with ability to work fast and safely under pressure. Food Hygiene Certificate preferred / full training will be given.
Meals on duty. Pension included.Car parking available.
Christmas / New Year Holidays
Front of House / Reception
General shifts are from 8am to 12pm, or from 3pm to 9pm including weekends, on a full-time basis. 30-40hrs
As part of the small front office team, you will be the first point of contact for all customers during your shift; you will give a warm welcome, using strong communication skills and a professional manner.
Engage with our customers face to face, on the phone and via email/written word.Work with our online booking system to perform a range of reservations tasks, as well as other manual administration duties.
Maintain excellent time-keeping; you will be lead person on duty on most occasions.
Use initiative to answer customer problems and fix issues arising during your shift. Possess a knowledge of the local Oxford area and keep up to date with events, tourist attractions, travel options.
Maintenance staff
Perform all general hotel maintenance tasks
To deliver a rolling programme of decoration, repair and maintenance for the building, including, but not limited to, exterior and interior painting of the property.
To ensure that the exterior areas, car park, steps, paths, are kept clean and welcoming. To ensure that residents, visitors, staff and contractors are protected from health and safety hazards.
To check fire escape routes are clear of obstructions; periodical logged checks of the fire safety alarms and equipment. To check buildings, car park and grounds for items of disrepair, security or health and safety issues; reporting any observations requiring repair or attention.
